WES WILSON

Father of the 1960's rock concert poster.

Wow! Clearly you are the most ably talented and unique of all the stranger artists I know of, perhaps after Frank Kozik and Robert Crumb. Please keep posting your superbly entertaining, many times simply shocking, and yes, sometimes even “great” work.

I don’t love John Seabury....it’s mostly a physical thing. Seabury is my hero...honestly! I got to spend a day with the guy and he is as cool as he is talented. Can’t say enough good about the man or his art. Seabury is the man/shit/messiah.

I’ve been making rock & roll posters for 25 years, but way back before I even started, I always admired the artwork of John Seabury. From hearing his band Psycotic Pineapple on KROQ radio station in LA, to checking out all of his cool artwork, he was — and continues to be an inspiration. Meticulous craftsmanship in a variety of artistic styles, very few artists in this industry have the scope and breadth of his talent. I feel lucky to own several of his works.

Art Director for The Fillmore SF poster series.

I’ve known John Seabury for years and have always admired his artwork. He knows how to embody the edginess and energy that is inherent in rock and roll. And, his art can be humorous; always an asset. His line work is simply impeccable! We have worked on a number of posters together and I have been delighted with each and every one.
